The Ötztal valley and its glacier brooks offer really unique white water pleasures between May and October. The most renowned access points can be found on the rivers Rofen Ache, Venter Ache and Ötztaler Ache. There is something for all levels and abilities: adventures amid gorges and brooks or a bit easier routes with small waves in vicinity to the river shore await all kayak fans. A permanent 350-meter canoe track with 42 flexible gates and a small start house with Internet access was installed in Oetz. Canoeists and canoe clubs can use it free of charge for training purposes and races from early May to late October.
